Massey Ferguson 14.X.07 – TRANS1: Brake Pressure Sensor Open Circuit Dyna 6 (TRANS1)

The electronic control system has detected a break in the electrical circuit for the high-pressure brake system's pressure sensor. An open circuit typically indicates a disconnected plug, a severed wire in the harness, or an internal failure within the sensor itself.

   Locate the brake pressure sensor (often on the brake master cylinder or transmission/ParkLock valve block) and ensure the connector is securely plugged in.

   Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture ingress, or bent terminals.

   Using a multimeter, check the wiring harness from the sensor connector back to the TRANS1 module for continuity and ensure there are no broken or chafed wires.

   Turn the ignition on and check for the standard 5V reference voltage at the sensor connector. If wiring is intact and voltage is present, the sensor has failed internally.

   Depressurize the System

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, the parking brake is engaged, and the hydraulic/brake system is fully depressurized to prevent fluid spray.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty brake pressure sensor.

   Remove the Sensor

   Carefully unscrew the sensor from its port. Have a shop rag ready to catch any residual hydraulic or brake fluid.

   Install the New Part

   Thread the new OEM brake pressure sensor into the port and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new sensor, ensuring it clicks into place.

   Bleed the Brakes

   Because the hydraulic circuit was opened, air may have entered the system. Bleed the brake system according to the standard procedure in the service manual.

   Clear Codes

   Turn on the tractor and use the dashboard diagnostic menu or the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to clear the 14.X.07 fault code. Test the brakes to ensure the code does not return.
