Massey Ferguson 15 – AIRCON: Air Vent Circulation Flap Position Sensor Supply Voltage Issue

Voltage supplied to (or returned from) the sensor that monitors the position of the HVAC air circulation flap is out of the expected operating range. When the system detects a voltage anomaly (often dropping below 15% or exceeding 85% of the expected supply voltage), the actuator will "fault out" and shut down to prevent further damage.

   Enter Diagnostic Mode on the tractor's control panel to verify that 10.00.15 is the primary active fault

   Check the cab environment for dust ingress with windows closed, which physically indicates a failed recirculation flap actuator or a completely blocked pressurisation filter

   Test the wiring harness leading to the air vent circulation flap actuator to ensure the supply voltage is within the normal range (if voltage is correct but the code persists, the internal sensor has failed)

   Filter Inspection

   Inspect the cab air filter (pressurisation filter) and the recirculation filter. Replace them if they are blocked, as severe blockages can strain the HVAC flap motors.

   Locate the Actuator

   Access the HVAC unit (typically located in the cab roof) and locate the recirculation flap actuator.

   Replace the Actuator

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty actuator. Remove the mounting hardware, swap in the new actuator, and ensure the flap linkage is properly aligned before securing it.

   Clear Codes

   Once the new part is installed, return to the diagnostic panel and clear the stored fault codes. Test the HVAC system to ensure the circulation flap operates correctly and the code does not return.
