Massey Ferguson 1B.00.01 – Linkage/PTO/Light Module: Issue With Configuration Stored In The Linkage/PTO/Light Module On The B-Pillar

The electronic control module responsible for managing the rear linkage, Power Take-Off (PTO), and working lights has either lost its configuration data, suffered memory corruption, or is failing to read its stored parameters.

   Check for companion codes (e.g., 1B.00.04 or 1B.00.02). If a LIN BUS code is present, the issue is likely wiring rather than the module itself.

   Remove the B-pillar trim and inspect the harness connecting the module to the main cab harness for loose pins, chafed wires, or moisture intrusion.

   Check the cab fuse box (usually on the right side) to ensure the module is receiving clean 12V power, as voltage drops during startup can corrupt module memory.

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Connect the Massey Ferguson Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Attempt Reconfiguration

   Navigate to the B-Pillar Module settings and attempt to re-flash or re-enter the tractor's configuration parameters (e.g., PTO speeds, linkage type, lighting package).

   Clear and Retest

   Clear the 1B.00.01 fault code. Cycle the tractor's ignition key off for 30 seconds, then back on.

   Module Replacement

   If the EDT fails to write the configuration to the module, or if the code returns immediately upon key-cycle, the internal EEPROM/memory of the module has failed. The B-pillar module must be physically replaced.

   Install and Program

   Unplug and unclip the old module from the B-pillar. Snap the new module into place, connect the harness, and use the EDT to program the new module to the tractor's specific configuration.
