Massey Ferguson 1B.00.06 – Linkage/PTO/Light Module: CAN BUS Issue With The Linkage/PTO/Light Module On The B-Pillar

Communication failure or interruption on the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus network. The tractor's main system is unable to send or receive data from the specific module located on the cab's B-Pillar, which is responsible for controlling the rear linkage (ELC), Power Take-Off (PTO), and working lights.

   Inspect the wiring harness routing up the right-hand B-Pillar to the module. Look for pinched wires, chafing against the cab frame, or rodent damage.

   Remove the B-Pillar trim and disconnect the module. Check the connector pins for corrosion, moisture intrusion, or pushed-out pins.

   Verify that the module is receiving stable 12V power and has a clean ground connection.

   Using a multimeter, test the CAN High and CAN Low lines at the module connector. With the battery disconnected, you should typically see around 60 ohms of resistance across the CAN lines if the network integrity is intact.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Module

   Carefully pry or unscrew the interior plastic trim covering the right-hand B-Pillar to expose the Linkage/PTO/Light button panel.

   Remove the Module

   Disconnect the main electrical harness connector from the back of the module. Remove the retaining screws or clips holding the module to the pillar bracket.

   Install the New Part

   Seat the new OEM Linkage/PTO/Light module into the pillar and secure it with the retaining hardware.

   Reconnect

   Plug the CAN bus/power harness into the new module, ensuring the locking tab clicks into place. Reinstall the B-Pillar trim panel.

   Restore Power & Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery. Turn the key to the ON position. Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 1B.00.06 fault code.

   Configure Module

   Depending on the tractor's trim level (Essential, Efficient, or Exclusive), the new module may require a configuration flash via the dealer's AGCO diagnostic tool to sync with the tractor's main ECU.
