   Inspect the physical condition of the Hitch Draft Control Dial on the B-Pillar button panel for physical damage or sticking.

   Check the wiring harness and connectors between the B-Pillar Button Panel and the Linkage/PTO/Light Module for corrosion, backed-out pins, or chafing.

   Verify the LIN BUS communication wiring between the button panel and the module, as related codes (e.g., 1B.03.04) indicate this is the communication protocol used.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnecting the battery before servicing B-Pillar electronics.

   Remove interior trim

   Removing the interior trim on the B-Pillar to access the Linkage/PTO/Light Module and the button panel.

   Repair wiring

   Repairing any damaged wiring or connectors found during the diagnostic phase.

   Replace dial or panel

   If the wiring is intact, replacing the Hitch Draft Control Dial (or the entire B-Pillar Button Panel assembly if the dial is integrated and not serviced separately).

   Clear codes and recalibrate

   Clearing the fault codes and recalibrating the rear hitch module if required.
