Massey Ferguson 1B.X.01 – Linkage/PTO/Light Module: Issue With Configuration Stored In The Linkage/PTO/Light Module On The B-Pillar
Issue description
Indicates a memory or software error within the module. The module's internal memory (EEPROM/Flash) has either lost its configuration data, the data has become corrupted, or the module is physically failing to read/write the configuration parameters required to operate the tractor's rear linkage, PTO, and lighting systems.

Check the cause
Check for accompanying LIN BUS communication codes (e.g., 1B.00.04) or internal failure codes (e.g., 1B.00.05).
Inspect power and ground by checking battery health, alternator output, and the specific fuses powering the B-Pillar module to rule out voltage issues causing memory corruption.
Remove the B-Pillar trim and inspect the harness connectors plugging into the module for backed-out pins, corrosion, or chafed wires.
Clear the fault code using the tractor's instrument panel menu or the AGCO Tech Connect Diagnostics (TCD) tool, then cycle the key to see if the error returns.
If the code returns but the module communicates, use the AGCO TCD tool to attempt a software re-flash or reconfiguration before condemning the hardware.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the battery isolator switch or disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.
Access the Module
Carefully pry or unscrew the interior trim panels on the right-hand B-Pillar of the cab to expose the Linkage/PTO/Light Module and keypad assembly.
Remove the Module
Disconnect the electrical harness connectors from the rear of the module. Unbolt or unclip the module from its mounting bracket on the pillar.
Install the Replacement
Secure the new or repaired B-Pillar module into the pillar and reconnect the wiring harnesses.
Reassemble
Reinstall the B-Pillar interior trim panels.
Restore Power
Reconnect the battery/isolator switch.
Module Configuration
Connect the AGCO Tech Connect Diagnostic tool to the tractor's diagnostic port to program the module. You must configure it to match the tractor's specific build options (e.g., PTO speeds, linkage type, lighting packages).
Test
Test the PTO engagement, 3-point linkage raise/lower, and work lights via the B-Pillar keypad to confirm the repair.
Parts you might need
(1)Linkage/PTO/Light Module (B-Pillar Keypad)
Must be sourced through an AGCO dealer using the tractor's exact VIN/Serial Number. Aftermarket repair options are available via Ilgenfritz Mechatronics (Repair Ref: 5021030011 or 5021030007).
