Massey Ferguson 3.01.95 – TECU: High Voltage On Auxiliary Valve Switch 6
Issue description
The system has detected a high voltage condition on the circuit for Auxiliary Valve Switch 6. This typically indicates a short circuit to 12V in the wiring harness or an internal short within the fingertip spool valve switch itself.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness leading from the TECU to the armrest/side console for chafing, pinched wires, or exposed copper that could cause a short to a 12V power source
Disconnect the connector at Auxiliary Valve Switch 6 (located on the armrest fingertip controls) and check for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress
Using a multimeter, test the signal wire for Switch 6 for a short to 12V
Swap the Switch 6 connection with an adjacent, known-good auxiliary valve switch (e.g., Switch 5 or 4) if connectors are identical. If the fault code follows the switch, the switch has failed internally
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes during repair.
Access the Switch
Remove the retaining screws or trim panels on the operator's armrest/side console to access the underside of the fingertip spool valve switches.
Remove the Faulty Switch
Disconnect the electrical harness connector from Auxiliary Valve Switch 6. Unclip or unbolt the switch module from the armrest housing.
Install the New Part
Seat the new electric spool switch into the armrest console and secure it. Reconnect the electrical harness, ensuring the connector clicks firmly into place.
Reassemble and Reconnect
Reinstall the armrest trim panels and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Clear Codes and Calibrate
Turn the ignition on. Use the tractor's dashboard diagnostic menu or an AGCO diagnostic tool to clear the stored 3.01.95 fault code. Test the new switch for proper hydraulic spool engagement.
