   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the spool valve joystick/fingertip controls to the MFA module inside the armrest for pinched wires, loose connector pins, or corrosion.

   Use a diagnostic tool to check the CAN bus communication status of the MFA module to verify if it is transmitting messages to the vehicle's main CAN network.

   Attempt to read the live data of the spool valve controls via the diagnostic tool to see if any physical movement of the joystick registers a signal.

   Attempt to run the 'calibration of the spool valve control lever' procedure via the diagnostic tool, as a loss of calibration can trigger communication or logic errors.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts while working inside the armrest.

   Disassemble the Armrest

   Carefully remove the top cover/bezel of the Multifunction Armrest to expose the internal wiring and the base of the spool valve joystick/fingertip controls.

   Test/Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a wiring fault (e.g., an open circuit on the CAN High or CAN Low lines), repair the damaged wire or replace the internal armrest sub-harness.

   Replace the Joystick/Control Unit

   If the wiring is intact but the spool valve control is internally shorted or failing to send CAN messages, unbolt the joystick/fingertip control unit, disconnect its harness, and install the replacement unit.

   Reassemble and Power Up

   Reconnect the armrest components and restore battery power.

   Calibrate the New Component

   A new spool valve control joystick must be calibrated to the MFA module. Connect your diagnostic tool (e.g., AGCO EDT or Jaltest) and run the "MFA armrest system, calibration of the spool valve control lever" routine.

   Clear the 3.03.1A / 03.00.1A fault code from the MFA memory and test the hydraulic spool valves for proper operation.
