   Check the battery voltage using a multimeter (should read around 12.6V resting). Low system voltage can cause phantom sensor errors.

   Inspect the sensor's wiring harness and connector near the pedal box. Look for moisture intrusion, corrosion, or wire rubbing, which are common causes of voltage drops or shorts to ground.

   Connect a diagnostic harness or back-probe the sensor. With the ignition on, check the reference voltage. As you depress the clutch pedal, the signal voltage should scale smoothly without dropping out or spiking.

   Inspect the clutch pedal sensor fork and physical linkage. If the fork is bent or the pedal is sticking, the sensor will read an incorrect physical position.

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent short circuits during replacement.

   Crucial step. After replacing the sensor, you must perform a clutch pedal calibration procedure using the tractor's dash menu or diagnostic software. This allows the transmission controller to relearn the new sensor's exact top and bottom voltage limits for smooth engagement.
