   Check battery voltage using a multimeter to ensure it is providing the correct base voltage (around 12.6V for a fully charged battery)

   Check alternator output to verify the regulator is functioning correctly and charging the system

   Inspect the transmission controller's physical wiring connections to both power and ground for corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires

   Connect the Massey Ferguson diagnostic service tool, open the MONITOR window, and select 'TRANS BATTERY VOLTAGE' to observe the live voltage reading

   Resolve External Power Issues

   If the battery, alternator, or wiring harness is found to be faulty during the diagnostic checks, repair or replace those components first, clear the code, and retest.

   Replace the Controller

   If the external power and ground supplies are verified to be at the correct levels but the code persists, the transmission controller has suffered an internal regulator failure.

   Installation

   Remove the faulty transmission controller and install the replacement unit.

   Calibration/Programming

   A new transmission controller will likely require programming and a clutch/transmission calibration procedure using the dealer service tool to sync with the tractor's CAN network.
