Check the cause
Inspect the DOC NOx sensor and its interface module for physical damage.
Check the wiring harness leading to the NOx sensor module for chafed wires, melted insulation, or loose clips.
Disconnect the in-line electrical connector and check for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins.
Inspect the exhaust piping around the DOC and the sensor thread for soot trails, which indicate exhaust leaks that can skew sensor readings.
Use a diagnostic tool (such as Jaltest or an AGCO dealer tool) to clear the code and run the engine to see if the code returns actively.
Repair steps
Preparation
Shut off the engine, apply the parking brake, and allow the exhaust system to cool completely to avoid burns.
Disconnect Battery
Disconnect the machine's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Disconnect Wiring
Locate the DOC NOx sensor module. Detach the wiring harness from its retaining clips and disconnect the nitrogen oxide (NOx) module electrical connector.
Remove Sensor
Use the appropriate sensor socket or wrench to carefully unthread the NOx sensor from the exhaust pipe/DOC housing.
Install New Sensor
Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of the new sensor (if not pre-applied by the manufacturer) and thread it into the exhaust housing. Tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Reconnect
Reconnect the electrical connector and secure the wiring harness back into its clips to keep it away from hot exhaust components.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use a diagnostic scanner to clear the 005028.13 fault code. Run the engine to verify the repair.
