   Verify the battery voltage and the main power/ground supply circuits to the Engine ECU to rule out low or spiking voltage triggering false internal errors.

   Check the ECU wiring harness and connectors for moisture, corrosion, or damaged pins.

   Use a dealer diagnostic tool to clear the DTC, cycle the key, and retest. If the code returns immediately, the CY33x chip has permanently failed.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery, starting with the negative terminal, to prevent electrical arcing.

   Remove the ECU

   Locate the Engine Control Unit. Carefully release the locking tabs on the wiring harness connectors and unplug them from the module.

   Dismount

   Remove the mounting bolts securing the ECU to the chassis/engine block and remove the faulty unit.

   Install Replacement

   Mount the new or remanufactured ECU and secure the hardware.

   Reconnect

   Reconnect the wiring harness plugs, ensuring the locking mechanisms click into place securely. Reconnect the battery.

   Programming

   A certified technician must use the AGCO/Massey Ferguson diagnostic service tool to flash the ECU with the correct software payload for your specific tractor model and engine serial number.
