   Verify Power and Ground: Check the ECU power supply and ground connections. Voltage drops or poor grounds can sometimes cause internal logic or ADC errors.

   Software Update Check: Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) and test the original EEM4 unit with the latest software to ensure a software glitch is not causing the false internal error.

   Cross-Check with a Test ECU: Check the system with a known-good EEM4 controller. If the system is functional and the fault is not active with the replacement ECU, the original ECU is confirmed defective.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the AGCO EDT device to the tractor and open the diagnostic software.

   Save engine log

   Open the "Diagnostic Test" page, select "Save & Upload Engine Log", and push start to save the engine log information.

   Save IQA codes

   Open the "Calibration" tab, check the IQA (Injector Quantity Adjustment) codes, and save them for later use.

   Initiate ECU replacement

   Open "Configuration", select "Engine ECU Replacement", and initiate the process.

   Deactivate old unit

   Click "Continue Step 1" to deactivate the old unit. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and wait exactly 2 minutes until the power is completely cut off from the tractor control units.

   Replace ECU

   Disconnect the battery and physically replace the old EEM4 unit with the new spare part.

   Read new serial number

   Turn the ignition switch to ON. The EDT will read the serial number of the new EEM4 unit.

   Activate new unit

   Follow the remaining on-screen EDT instructions to activate the new EEM4 unit and write the saved IQA codes and configuration data to it.
