   Check the battery voltage and inspect the main ground connections to the Engine ECU, as voltage drops or poor grounding can cause the module's internal processor to fault

   Inspect the ECU wiring harness connectors for water ingress, corrosion, bent pins, or loose connections

   Use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to clear the fault code. If the code returns immediately upon key-on, the internal failure is hard-set

   Check if there is a software update available for the Engine ECU via the AGCO EDT, as software bugs can trigger false internal memory errors

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery (negative terminal first) to prevent electrical spikes.

   Locate the ECU

   Locate the Engine ECU, which is typically mounted directly to the side of the AGCO Power (Sisu) engine block.

   Remove the ECU

   Carefully release the locking levers on the main wiring harness connectors and unplug them from the ECU. Remove the mounting bolts securing the ECU to the engine block.

   Install the Replacement

   Mount the new or remanufactured ECU and secure the bolts. Reconnect the wiring harnesses, ensuring the locking levers click fully into place.

   Reconnect Power

   Reconnect the battery.

   Programming

   Connect the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to program the module with the correct tractor software, input the injector trim codes, and sync the immobilizer/CAN bus systems.
