Massey Ferguson 520220.31 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EEM4: ECU Internal Fault 0113
Issue description
ECU Internal Fault 0113 (Wrong set response time / MOCSOP Incorrect response time). This fault is related to the Monitoring Concept of the Redundant Shut-Off Paths (MoCSOP) self-test. The code triggers if there are incorrect ECU software settings or a physical hardware failure inside the ECU.

Check the cause
Check battery voltage during engine cranking, as low voltage can cause the MoCSOP self-test to fail
Inspect the main power and ground feeds to the ECU, checking the ECU main relays for voltage drops or intermittent shorts to ground
Verify ECU software settings using a dealer diagnostic tool (WinEEM3/4 or FenDias) to check if a software update or re-calibration is available
Repair steps
Clear and Retest
Clear the active fault code using a diagnostic tool. Cycle the ignition key off, wait for the ECU to power down completely, and turn the key back on to initiate a new driving cycle. If the code does not return, it may have been a transient voltage glitch.
Reflash the ECU
If the code returns immediately upon key-on and all wiring/voltage checks pass, connect the AGCO electronic service tool and attempt to reflash the ECU with the latest software file.
Replace or Repair the ECU
If the software update fails or does not resolve the code, the internal hardware of the ECU has failed the redundant shut-off path test. The ECU must be removed and either sent to an agricultural electronics repair specialist (e.g., UpFix) or replaced with a new OEM unit.
Program the New ECU
If replacing the unit, the new ECU must be programmed to the specific tractor's VIN/serial number and injector trim codes using the dealer service tool.
