   Verify battery voltage is within normal operating range (high voltage >17V or low voltage <7.8V can disable power stages and trigger internal ECU faults)

   Inspect the CAN bus wiring harness and ECU connectors for open circuits, short circuits, moisture, or corrosion

   Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) and test the original EEM4 unit with the latest software update to rule out a software glitch

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the EDT device to the tractor and open the EDT software. Select the correct tractor model and options.

   Save engine log

   Open the "Diagnostic Test" page, select "Save & Upload Engine Log," and push start to save the engine log information to your desktop.

   Save IQA codes

   Open the "Calibration" tab and check the IQA codes (Injector Calibration). Save these codes for later use.

   Initiate ECU replacement

   Open "Configuration," select "Engine ECU Replacement," and push the start button.

   Deactivate old ECU

   Step 1 (Deactivate old ECU): Push "Continue Step 1" to start the replacement process. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and wait for exactly 2 minutes until the power is completely cut off from the tractor's control units.

   Install new ECU

   Step 2 (Connect new ECU): Disconnect and remove the old EEM4 unit. Install the new replacement EEM4 unit.

   Read new ECU serial number

   Turn the ignition switch to ON. The EDT will automatically read the serial number of the new EEM4 unit.

   Load software and restore codes

   Load the latest EEM4 software to the new unit using the EDT and restore the saved IQA codes.
