Check the cause
Connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool - EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Navigate to the Engine ECU module and view the programmed QR/calibration codes for the fuel injectors.
Visually inspect the physical fuel injector installed in cylinder #3. Locate the alphanumeric QR code / Injector Flow Identifier printed on the top or side of the injector body.
Compare the physical code on the injector to the code currently stored in the Engine ECU. This fault is most commonly triggered if an injector was recently replaced but the technician forgot to program the new calibration code, or if the ECU experienced a memory loss.
Repair steps
Program correct QR code
If the calibration code in the ECU does not match the physical injector in cylinder #3, use your diagnostic tool to enter the correct QR code string from the injector into the Engine ECU.
Save and cycle ignition
Save the configuration, clear the fault codes, and cycle the tractor's ignition key.
Verify repair
Start the engine and verify if the E653.13 code returns.
Replace fuel injector
If the ECU refuses to accept the code, or if the injector is electrically/mechanically faulty, you must replace the #3 fuel injector.
Program new injector
Install the new injector and use the diagnostic tool to program the new injector's unique QR code into the Engine ECU.
