Check the cause

  1. Check the main power supply and ground circuits to the Hitch Module for voltage spikes or drops.

  2. Inspect the multi-pin connector (often a 55-way harness connector on Bosch EHR units) at the module for corrosion, moisture ingress, or backed-out pins.

  3. If the code is accompanied by 08.0.B6 (Lost Calibration), attempt to recalibrate the rear hitch using the tractor's Datatronic console or dealer diagnostic tool.

  4. Use a compatible diagnostic tool (like AGCO EDT) to clear the DTCs, cycle the key, and operate the hitch to see if the code returns immediately.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts or CAN bus spikes during removal.

  2. Locate the Module

Locate the Rear Hitch Control Module. It is typically mounted inside the right-hand console, under the cab floor, or near the rear linkage valve block.

  3. Disconnect Wiring

Carefully release the locking mechanism on the wiring harness connector and unplug it from the module.

  4. Remove the Module

Unbolt the module from its mounting bracket and remove it from the tractor.

  5. Install the New Module

Mount the replacement module and secure the retaining bolts.

  6. Reconnect Wiring

Plug in the wiring harness, ensuring the connector is fully seated and locked.

  7. Restore Power

    Reconnect the tractor's battery.

  8. Programming and Calibration

Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT). Flash the new module with the correct software for your specific tractor model, then perform the mandatory rear hitch calibration procedure to set the upper/lower limits and draft sensor baselines.
