Massey Ferguson 94.18 – ECU: Fuel Filter Pressure Sensor Low Pressure

Fuel main filter inlet pressure BELOW NORMAL. This indicates that the measured fuel pressure in the fuel filter has fallen below the normal operating range (typically <4 bar or <100 kPa) for more than 30 seconds, meaning the engine is not receiving adequate low-pressure fuel supply.

   Check fuel level and quality to ensure the tank has adequate fuel, the correct grade, and is free of heavy water contamination

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the fuel filter pressure sensor for chafing, defective wires, or open circuits

   Verify that the low-pressure fuel transfer (lift) pump is operating correctly and supplying adequate pressure to the filters

   Bleed/Prime the System

   If air was found in the system, tighten all loose fuel connections and prime the fuel system to purge the air.

   Replace Fuel Filters

   If the filters are clogged or have not been serviced recently, drain the fuel/water separator and replace both the main fuel filter and the pre-filter.

   Replace the Pressure Sensor

   If the filters are new, the wiring is intact, and the mechanical fuel pressure tests normal with a manual gauge, the fuel filter pressure sensor itself is likely defective and must be replaced.

   Replace the Fuel Transfer Pump

   If a manual pressure gauge confirms that feed pressure is genuinely low before the filters, replace the malfunctioning fuel transfer pump.

   Clear Codes

   After repairs, use a diagnostic tool to clear the ECU fault codes and run the engine to verify the 000094.18 code does not return.
