   Perform a visual LED inspection on the electronic valve at the rear of the tractor (solid red = receiving power, green = receiving input, flashing = internal fault).

   Verify that the external linkage and the valve are physically returning to the center (neutral) position to rule out a sticking spool.

   Access the Autotronic diagnostic screen to check for secondary DC or TC error codes.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the cab controls (armrest/SMS joystick), the Mid Mount Valve Module, and External Hydraulic Valve 1 for chafed wires, corrosion, or loss of communication.

   Depressurize and Disconnect

   Turn off the tractor, disconnect the battery to protect the Autotronic system, and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the rear remotes.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the rear hydraulic valve stack to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system during disassembly.

   Disconnect Electronics

   Unplug the electrical harness from the solenoid and position sensor on External Hydraulic Valve 1.

   Component Replacement

   If the electronic actuator has failed, unbolt the tie rods holding the hydraulic stack together and remove the faulty Valve 1 slice. (Note: Massey Ferguson typically only sells the complete valve slice, though detent kits can sometimes be sourced if the issue is purely mechanical).

   Installation

   Insert the new electrohydraulic valve slice. Ensure all O-rings between the valve sections are lubricated and properly seated.

   Reassembly

   Torque the hydraulic stack tie rods to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Calibration/Clearing

   Reconnect the battery, turn on the tractor, and use the dash sequence or a dealer diagnostic tool to clear the A.10.19 code. Test the valve operation via the cab fingertip controls and the external fender buttons.
