   Inspect the wiring harness and connections leading to External Valve 1 for corrosion, pinched wires, or loose connector pins

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to read the live data from the spool position sensor and verify if it registers movement when the valve is commanded

   Verify CAN Bus communication between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module

   Retrieve and Verify Codes

   Connect a diagnostic interface device compatible with Massey Ferguson to confirm A.10.1A is the only code, or if it is accompanied by sensor voltage/communication codes.

   Inspect the Valve Block

   Locate the external hydraulic valve block (usually mounted at the rear or mid-mount depending on loader prep).

   Test the Electrical Solenoid/Sensor

   Disconnect the electrical connector to External Valve 1. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. Check for continuity and proper voltage supply from the ECU.

   Replace Faulty Component

   If the wiring is intact but the spool position sensor is returning out-of-range values, replace the sensor or the electric spool valve control switch. If the valve itself is mechanically binding or the internal solenoid has failed, the spool valve assembly must be replaced.

   Clear Codes and Calibrate

   After replacing the valve or sensor, use the diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs and perform any necessary hydraulic valve calibration procedures required by the ECU.
