Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 1 for connection problems

  2. Verify the readings of the spool position sensor for Valve 1

  3. Check for CAN bus communication errors between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module

Repair steps

  1. Locate valve

Locate External Hydraulic Valve 1 (usually the first spool valve in the rear remote stack or mid-mount block).

  2. Clean contacts

Disconnect the electrical harness and clean the contacts to rule out a connection problem.

  3. Test sensor

Test the spool position sensor for proper voltage/resistance.

  4. Replace component

If the sensor or the valve solenoid has failed internally, remove the retaining bolts for the Valve 1 group and replace the faulty component.

  5. Clear DTCs

Clear the DTCs using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device.
