   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector leading to External Hydraulic Valve 1 for physical damage, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Check the spool position sensor value using a compatible diagnostic tool to see if it is reading out of range or stuck.

   Verify communication between the tractor's dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module to rule out a broader CAN bus or module communication failure.

   Clean and Reconnect

   Disconnect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 1. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, ensure the pins are straight, and securely reconnect it.

   Wiring Repair

   If the wiring harness is chafed or shorted, repair the damaged section of the harness leading to the valve module.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the spool position sensor value remains erratic or unresponsive, the sensor or the entire electric spool slice (valve assembly) must be replaced.

   Clear Codes

   After the repair or replacement, use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool/interface device to clear the DTC from the system. (Note: Some electric spool slices require programming to the tractor upon installation).
