Massey Ferguson A.20.11: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue

Fault within the second external hydraulic remote valve circuit. The underlying condition is typically related to a connection problem on the hydraulic valve, an issue with the spool position sensor value, or a physical restriction causing slow, weak, or dead hydraulic response.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for connection problems.

   Check the spool position sensor value using a diagnostic tool to see if it is reading out of range.

   Check the hydraulic oil for contamination (dirt or debris) and inspect the hydraulic/transmission oil filter for blockages.

   Inspect the hydraulic couplers for damage or blockages, and check for worn hoses, sticky valves, or relief valve faults.

   Inspect and Clean Connections

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2. Disconnect the electrical connector, clean the contacts, check for broken wires, and reconnect. Clear the code to see if it returns.

   Service the Hydraulic Fluid

   If the hydraulic oil is dirty or the filter is old, drain the fluid and replace the hydraulic/transmission filter to ensure proper flow to the spool valves.

   Test/Replace the Spool Position Sensor

   If the diagnostic tool indicates an erratic spool position sensor value, remove and replace the sensor on Valve 2.

   Rebuild or Replace the Spool Valve

   If the electrical connections and sensors are good but the valve is physically sticking or failing to hold pressure, remove the spool valve assembly. Use an OEM repair kit to replace the internal seals and worn components. If the valve body is heavily worn or beyond repair, replace the entire spool valve section.
