Massey Ferguson A.21.1E – Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) / Onboard Diagnostic System: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue

   Depressurize the System

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 at the rear remote stack or mid-mount valve block. Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve's position sensor/solenoid. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, reconnect, and test if the code clears.

   Remove the Valve/Sensor

   If the sensor or valve is mechanically faulty, mark and remove the hydraulic lines connected to Valve 2 (cap them to prevent contamination). Unbolt the faulty spool valve section or sensor from the valve stack. Note: On some models (like the 7600 series), Massey Ferguson only sells the complete valve assembly rather than individual sensors/detents.

   Install the new spool valve or sensor, torque bolts to OEM specifications, and reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical harness.

   Replace the hydraulic filter and top off the hydraulic fluid if the oil was contaminated.
