   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to confirm if A.22.12 is active or stored

   Check the electrical connections on External Hydraulic Valve 2 for corroded pins, loose connectors, or damaged wiring harnesses

   Check the spool position sensor values via the diagnostic tool

   Ensure the hydraulic filters are not clogged with gel or debris, which can restrict flow and cause valve actuation faults

   Relieve Pressure

   Safely park the tractor, lower all implements, turn off the engine, and actuate the hydraulic levers/switches to relieve residual hydraulic pressure.

   Access the Valve Block

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 on the rear hydraulic distribution block.

   Clean and Reconnect

   Disconnect the electrical harness to the valve solenoid and the position sensor. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease, and securely reconnect them.

   Test Operation

   Clear the DTCs using your diagnostic tool and test the hydraulic valve. If the code returns, the electrical fault is internal to the valve or sensor.

   Replace Components

   If the spool valve or its position sensor is internally shorted or mechanically seized, replace the faulty spool valve section or rebuild it using an OEM repair kit.

   Recalibrate

   After replacing an electronic spool valve or position sensor, use the diagnostic tool to calibrate the new valve limits to the tractor's system.
