Check the cause
Retrieve all active and stored codes using a diagnostic tool to confirm the fault
Check the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for any physical damage, corrosion, or loose connections
Check the spool position sensor value using the diagnostic tool to see if it is reading out of range or failing to register movement
Repair steps
Locate valve
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 on the tractor's hydraulic valve block.
Inspect and clean connectors
Disconnect the electrical connector to the valve and the spool position sensor. Clean the contacts and inspect for pushed-out pins or moisture.
Reconnect and test
Reconnect the harness and test the tractor's hydraulic functions.
Test and replace spool position sensor
If the code persists and the wiring is intact, test the spool position sensor. If the sensor is faulty, replace it.
Replace External Hydraulic Valve 2
If the sensor is functioning properly but the valve fails to actuate, replace the External Hydraulic Valve 2 assembly.
Clear DTCs
Clear the DTCs using your diagnostic tool and cycle the tractor's power to ensure the code does not return.
