   Verify the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and check if the fluid is dark, smells burnt, or has a milky appearance indicating water contamination

   Check for a partially blocked hydraulic filter, which can restrict flow to the system and cause valve errors

   Use a hydraulic gauge at the quick couplers to test system pressure (improper pressure is above 3600 psi or below 2200 psi)

   Inspect the external control valves, pressure accumulators, and quick couplers for external leaks

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at External Valve 2 for connection problems

   Fluid & Filter Service

   If the fluid is degraded or contaminated, drain the system, flush it, and replace it with fresh OEM UTTO fluid. Replace the hydraulic filter.

   Bleed the System

   If the system was opened or aerated, bleed the hydraulic lines to prevent vibrations and spontaneous cylinder action.

   Valve Service/Replacement

   If the fluid and pressure are fine but the valve is unresponsive or leaking internally, the auxiliary remote spool valve must be serviced or replaced.

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool/interface device to clear the 0A.22.23 code and verify the repair.
