   Check hydraulic oil and transmission filters for contamination or blockages

   Inspect wiring harness and connectors between the dash, the Mid Mount Valve Module, and External Valve 2 for corrosion, open circuits, or shorts

   Use a diagnostic tool to read live data for the spool position sensor value to ensure it is not reading out of range

   Check for mechanical binding to ensure the valve isn't physically sticking or jamming due to internal debris or worn detents

   Test back pressure by installing a pressure gauge in the drain/tank port line to check for a restricted drain line

   Drain and Flush

   Drain the hydraulic system and flush it to remove as much debris as possible.

   Remove the Valve

   Disconnect the electrical harness from External Hydraulic Valve 2 and unbolt it from the hydraulic block.

   Disassemble and Clean

   Take the valve apart and clean it thoroughly with a high-quality, residue-free parts cleaner.

   Inspect Internals

   Inspect the spool and valve body for wear, scoring, or scratches. If the valve body is heavily scored, the entire valve must be replaced.

   Replace Soft Parts

   Replace all rubber O-rings and seals before reassembly to prevent future leaks.

   Refill System

   Refill the system with new, clean hydraulic fluid. Filter the replacement fluid during the transfer process so you do not introduce fresh contaminants into the reservoir.

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.22.29 code and test the remote valve operation.
