   Inspect the wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for chafing, corrosion, or loose connector pins

   Test the spool position sensor value using a compatible diagnostic tool to see if it is reading out of range or stuck

   Retrieve and Verify Codes

   Use a diagnostic tool compatible with Massey Ferguson to confirm 0A.23.12 is the active code.

   Inspect the Harness

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 at the rear remote stack. Disconnect the electrical connector and clean the contacts. Reconnect and test.

   Test/Replace Sensor

   If the wiring is intact but the spool position sensor is failing to report the correct position to the ECU, replace the sensor.

   Valve Replacement/Rebuild

   If the valve is internally shorted or mechanically failing, remove the spool valve assembly. Depending on the damage, either rebuild it using an OEM seal kit or replace the entire spool valve section.

   Clear Codes

   After the repair, use the diagnostic interface to clear the DTCs and cycle the hydraulic remote to ensure the code does not return.
