Massey Ferguson A.23.25: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue
Issue description
Indicates a fault within the circuit of the second external hydraulic remote valve. Typically caused by a connection problem on the hydraulic valve or an issue with the spool position sensor value.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing.
Check the spool position sensor value using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to see if the valve is reading out of range.
Test the resistance of the electronic solenoid on Valve 2 to ensure it has not shorted or opened.
Repair steps
Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing the valve block.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the electrical harness from External Hydraulic Valve 2.
If the diagnostic checks isolated the issue to the wiring, repair the harness or replace the connector.
If the spool position sensor or solenoid is faulty, remove the retaining bolts for the Valve 2 slice on the rear remote block.
Replace the faulty sensor, solenoid, or the entire valve slice as dictated by the component failure.
Reassemble, restore fluid levels, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.23.25 code and recalibrate the hydraulic valve limits.
