Massey Ferguson A.2X.18 – Mid Mount Valve Module: External Hydraulic Valve 2 Issue

A malfunction within the second external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve) circuit. This is frequently tied to an issue with the spool position sensor value, a loss of communication, or a calibration failure.

   Inspect wiring and connections at the hydraulic valve harness for pushed pins, corrosion, or chafing

   Verify CAN communication integrity between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module

   Check the spool position sensor values using a diagnostic tool to see if they are erratic or out-of-range

   Inspect the Harness

   Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 2. Clean the connectors and check for pushed pins, corrosion, or wire chafing.

   Test the Sensor/Valve

   If the wiring is intact, use a Massey Ferguson compatible diagnostic tool to monitor the live data for External Valve 2's spool position sensor.

   Replace Faulty Components

   If the sensor is dead or the electric spool slice has failed internally, replace the spool position sensor or the complete electric spool slice assembly.

   Recalibrate

   After replacing the valve or sensor, you must perform a hydraulic valve calibration. Note: Replacement electric spool slices must be programmed to the tractor.
