Check the cause
Inspect Electrical Connections: Check for a connection problem on the hydraulic valve harness. Look for damaged pins, corrosion, or loose connectors at External Valve 2.
Check Spool Position Sensor: Verify the spool position sensor value, as sensor failures are a common trigger for external valve issues.
Verify Module Communication: Ensure there is proper communication between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module (if equipped).
Repair steps
Locate valve
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 2 on the tractor's rear hydraulic remote block.
Disconnect harness
Disconnect the wiring harness to the valve and the spool position sensor.
Inspect wiring
Clean the contacts and inspect the wiring for breaks or shorts to ground.
Replace faulty component
If the wiring is intact, the spool position sensor or the valve solenoid itself is likely faulty and requires replacement.
Clear DTCs
After replacing the faulty component, use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTCs from the system.
