Check the cause
Check the UTTO hydraulic fluid level and condition (look for dark, burnt-smelling, or milky fluid indicating water contamination)
Inspect the hydraulic filter to ensure it has been changed within the last 300–500 hours, as 70% contamination restricts flow
Inspect the external control valve block, O-rings, and 1/2" ISO 5675 quick couplers for visible leaks
Perform a pressure and flow test using a diagnostic flowmeter and pressure gauge (e.g., AGCO MF 3001 pressure gauge kit and MF 3016 flowmeter kit) connected to the diagnostic coupler to verify if the issue is a weak pump or isolated to Valve 3
Inspect the wiring harness and solenoid connector specifically at External Valve 3 for corrosion, damage, or loose pins
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Lower all implements to the ground and turn off the engine. Cycle the hydraulic levers/controls to relieve any residual pressure in the system.
Drain/Flush Fluid (If Contaminated)
Drain the hydraulic fluid and replace the hydraulic filter. Never use non-original filters, as low-quality substitutes increase the risk of contamination entry by 35%.
Disconnect Valve 3
Locate the external hydraulic valve stack at the rear of the tractor. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses and the electrical solenoid connector for Valve 3.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the Valve 3 section from the hydraulic control valve block/lift cover.
Install Replacement
Mount the new or rebuilt external hydraulic remote valve. Replace any mating O-rings between the valve sections to prevent internal pressure loss.
Reassemble and Bleed
Reconnect the hoses and electrical connections. Refill the system with OEM-approved UTTO fluid. Operate the tractor and cycle the remote valve to bleed air from the system, as aeration can cause spontaneous cylinder action and vibrations.
Clear Codes
Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.30.2A code from the system.
