   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector plugging into External Hydraulic Valve 3 for corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires.

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to retrieve and verify the active DTCs to ensure the fault is isolated to Valve 3.

   Inspect the external hydraulic valve block (usually bolted to the lift cover or rear remote stack) for physical damage or severe hydraulic fluid leaks.

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is turned off and relieve all hydraulic system pressure before beginning work.

   Prepare for Fluid Loss

   Have a large bucket ready, as disconnecting hydraulic components will be messy and result in fluid loss.

   Disconnect Electricals

   Unplug the electrical actuator connector from External Hydraulic Valve 3.

   Remove the Valve

   Unbolt the faulty external hydraulic valve from the valve stack or lift cover.

   Replace Components

   Install the new external hydraulic valve or electronic actuator. Ensure all mating surfaces are clean and that new O-rings/gaskets are used to prevent leaks.

   Reassembly

   Bolt the valve back into place, reconnect the hydraulic lines, and plug the electrical connector back in.

   Fluid and Clearing

   Top off the hydraulic fluid reservoir. Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.31.25 code from the tractor's onboard diagnostic system.
