   Inspect the hydraulic/transmission oil filter and check for dirty or contaminated hydraulic fluid, which can cause valves to stick

   Inspect couplers and hoses to ensure there are no blocked couplers or damaged/worn hoses restricting flow to the implement

   Check the LED indicator on the electronic spool valve (solid red = receiving power, green = receiving input to move, flashing = internal fault detected)

   Check the spool valve detents for rust, which can cause the valve to stick or fail to operate properly

   Clear Codes & Test

   Attempt to clear the DTC using a compatible diagnostic tool to see if the code is a hard fault or an intermittent electrical glitch.

   Free up Detents

   If the valve is mechanically sticking, access the spool valve block at the rear of the tractor. Clean and lubricate the spool valve detents to ensure they are not rusted in place.

   Address Electrical Faults

   If the cab controls (SMS joystick or fingertip controls) sporadically work and the valve LED flashes, inspect the wiring harness connecting the Autotronic/EHRC module to External Valve 3 for breaks or corrosion.

   Valve Replacement

   If the valve has suffered an internal failure (a known issue with some Bosch/Rexroth SB23 auxiliary valves used in MF tractors), the complete valve section may need to be removed from the hydraulic stack and replaced or sent to a specialist for rebuild.
