Indicates a malfunction, communication failure, or mechanical fault specifically isolated to the electro-hydraulic spool valve #3 (Selective Control Valve or SCV 3) at the rear of the tractor.

   Check the Valve LED Indicators on the electronic valve block at the rear of the tractor (Red = power, Green = input, Flashing = internal fault or locked out)

   Test Cab Controls by attempting to unlock the SCVs using the cab button; if the red light blinks and the valve does not respond, the issue is electronic

   Check Linkage Position to ensure the external linkage is positioned correctly and the valves are in their center position

   Inspect Wiring and Connections at the harness and pins connecting to Valve 3 for connection problems or lack of valve detection

   Check the Autotronic Screen for secondary DC or TC error codes that might pinpoint a specific voltage or sensor failure

   Depressurize the System

   Ensure the tractor is off and hydraulic pressure is fully relieved before working on the valve stack.

   Attempt Detent Replacement (If Applicable)

   On certain models (like the 7600 series), the issue can sometimes be traced to worn spool valve detents. Purchase and modify replacement detents to fit as a cost-effective fix.

   Replace the Complete Valve Slice

   Disconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical connectors from Valve 3. Unbolt the tie-rods holding the hydraulic valve stack together. Remove the faulty Valve 3 slice and insert the replacement. Re-torque the stack tie-rods to OEM specifications and reconnect lines/wires.

   Reprogramming

   Program/calibrate newly installed electric spool slices to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool before they will function.
