Massey Ferguson A.33.1F: External Hydraulic Valve 3 Issue

Issue description

Indicates a malfunction, typically an electrical connection problem or component failure, associated with the 3rd rear remote hydraulic spool valve.

Locate External Hydraulic Valve 3 (the 3rd spool valve slice in the rear remote stack) and visually inspect the wiring harness and spool valve cable for physical damage, chafing, or breaks.
Disconnect the electrical connector at Valve 3 and check for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress.
Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the spool valve cable and the resistance of the valve's solenoid to ensure it is within OEM specifications.

Power Down
Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.
Clean the Connection
If the diagnostic check reveals a dirty or loose connector at Valve 3, clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease, and securely reconnect it.
Replace the Cable/Solenoid
If the spool valve cable or solenoid fails the continuity test, disconnect the cable from the main harness and unbolt it from the spool valve slice. Install the replacement cable/solenoid assembly.
Replace the Valve Slice
If the electrical components are sound but the valve is mechanically seized internally, the specific spool valve slice will need to be unbolted from the hydraulic block and replaced.
Clear Codes
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTC from the system and verify the repair.
