   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the exact sub-code (e.g., 0A.31.22) to pinpoint the nature of the fault.

   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors leading to the rear External Hydraulic Valve 3 for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Check the hydraulic remote valve block for physical damage or fluid leaks.

   Test the proportional valve solenoid for proper electrical resistance to determine if the solenoid has failed.

   Check the remote valve filter for clogs or debris that could be restricting hydraulic flow.

   Depressurize hydraulic system

   Safely park the tractor on level ground, turn off the engine, and depressurize the hydraulic system by cycling the hydraulic controls.
