Massey Ferguson A.43.12 – Tractor Control Module or Hydraulic Control Module: External Hydraulic Valve 4 Issue

Malfunction within the circuit of the 4th external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve). The underlying condition is typically an electrical connection problem, a failure of the electric spool slice, or a pilot pressure control issue preventing the valve from operating correctly.

   Check the electrical connections and wiring harness leading to the 4th external hydraulic valve for corrosion, loose pins, or physical damage

   Verify the tractor's hydraulic fluid level and quality

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs and cycle the hydraulic remotes to see if the code is an active hard fault or an intermittent connection issue

   Check the pilot pressure control and the electric spool slice for proper operation

   Depressurize the hydraulic system

   Depressurizing the hydraulic system.

   Disconnect the electrical harness

   Disconnecting the electrical harness from the 4th spool valve slice.

   Unbolt the faulty component

   Unbolting the faulty electric spool slice or pressure valve from the rear hydraulic valve block.

   Install the replacement spool slice

   Installing the replacement spool slice with new O-rings/seals.

   Program/calibrate the new unit

   If the Electric Spool Slice is replaced, the new unit must be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool.
