   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 5 for corrosion, damage, or loose connections.

   Ensure the hydraulic reservoir is at the correct level and the fluid is not contaminated.

   Drain the System

   Pump out or drain the hydraulic reservoir fluid through the valve or drain plug. Have a large bucket ready as this process can be messy.

   Remove the Valve

   Disconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical solenoid connections to External Valve 5. Unbolt the valve from the hydraulic block/lift cover.

   Disassemble and Inspect

   Strip the valve to check internal components. Look for missing or broken parts, such as the collar on the end of the spool that holds the spring in place.

   Rebuild

   Replace all internal gaskets, O-rings, and seals using an OEM spool valve repair kit.

   Reinstall and Test

   Reassemble the valve, mount it back to the tractor, reconnect all lines and harnesses, refill the hydraulic fluid, and clear the DTCs using a diagnostic tool. Test the remote for proper operation.
