   Retrieve and verify the active DTCs using a diagnostic tool or interface device compatible with Massey Ferguson tractors.

   Check the electrical connections and wiring harness leading to External Hydraulic Valve 5 for connection problems.

   Test the pilot pressure control for the electric spool valve to ensure it is receiving and sending the correct hydraulic pressure and electrical signals.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical hydraulic systems.

   Locate valve

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 5 (the electric spool slice) at the rear hydraulic block.

   Inspect and clean connector

   Inspect and clean the electrical connector. If the wiring is damaged, repair or replace the pigtail/harness.

   Remove faulty valve

   If the valve itself has failed internally, remove the mounting bolts and hydraulic lines to extract the faulty electric spool slice.

   Install replacement valve

   Install the replacement electric spool slice (e.g., OEM 3797234M6).

   Program ECU

   The new electric spool slice must be programmed to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool for it to function correctly.

   Clear DTCs and test

   Clear the DTCs from the system and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
