Check the cause
Inspect the electrical circuit: check the solenoid connector at External Valve 5, inspect the wiring harness for rub points, test the coil resistance on the solenoid, and verify ground integrity.
Check hydraulic fluid level and condition: look for dark fluid, burnt smells, or a milky appearance indicating water contamination and loss of viscosity.
Inspect for external hydraulic leaks at the valve fittings, quick couplers, or cylinders that could cause pressure drops.
Perform a pressure test with a hydraulic gauge to determine if the issue is isolated to the valve itself, the pump, or a restriction in the filter.
Repair steps
Remove lift cover cap
Remove the two bolts securing the cap on the hydraulic lift cover.
Detach cap from standpipe
Remove the cap and detach it from the standpipe. Caution: Ensure that the standpipe is not dislodged from its seat in the hydraulic pump.
Separate valve and base section
Remove the three bolts securing the valve to the base plate of the control valve. Separate the valve and the base section.
Fit standpipe to new base plate
Fit the standpipe into the inlet port of the new base plate.
Fit base plate to lift cover
Fit the base plate to the lift cover, ensuring that the standpipe is correctly located into its seat on the hydraulic pump.
Secure base plate
Secure the base plate to the lift cover.
Secure new control valve
Secure the new control valve to the base plate using the three bolts removed earlier.
Replace filter and fluid
Replace the hydraulic filter (mandatory every 300–500 hours) and top off with fresh UTTO hydraulic fluid.
