   Locate the 5th external hydraulic valve in the rear remote valve stack.

   Disconnect the electrical harness at Valve 5 and inspect for dirt, moisture, corrosion, or pushed-back pins.

   Trace the wiring harness from the valve back to the control module, looking for chafing, breaks, or pinch points. Test for continuity.

   Swap the electrical connector from Valve 5 to an adjacent valve (e.g., Valve 4) to see if the fault code follows the wiring or stays with the valve slice.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Clean and Reconnect

   If corrosion or debris was found during the diagnostic check, clean the connector with electrical contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease, and reconnect.

   Replace the Valve Slice

   If the wiring is intact and the fault is internal to the valve, the electric spool slice must be replaced. Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system, unbolt the tie-rods holding the hydraulic valve stack together, carefully remove the faulty Valve 5 slice (ensuring you do not lose or damage the O-rings), install the new electric spool slice with new O-rings, and re-torque the valve stack tie-rods to OEM specifications.

   Programming

   Program or calibrate the new electric spool slice to the tractor's ECU after installation.

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.53.26 code and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
