A.60.11

Massey Ferguson A.60.11 – Hydraulic Valve Controller or EHR module: External Hydraulic Valve 6 Issue

Issue description

Indicates a fault within the circuit or operation of the 6th external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve). It typically points to an electrical connection problem, such as an open circuit, a short to ground, or a short to power on the valve's solenoid.

Check the cause

  1. Check the solenoid connector at the 6th hydraulic remote valve for dirt, corrosion, or moisture.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness leading to the valve for rub points, pinched wires, or breaks.

  3. Test the solenoid coil resistance using a multimeter to ensure it is within the manufacturer's specified range (not open or shorted).

  4. Check for proper ground integrity at the valve connector.

  5. Verify that the control module is sending the correct voltage signal to the valve when actuated from the cab.

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and engage the parking brake. Relieve any residual hydraulic pressure by moving the hydraulic control levers/joysticks.

  2. Locate Valve 6

Identify the 6th external hydraulic remote valve in the rear valve stack.

  3. Clean the Area

Thoroughly clean the area around the valve to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

  4. Disconnect and Inspect

Unplug the electrical connector to the valve solenoid. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If the wiring is damaged, repair the harness.

  5. Replace Solenoid/Valve (if faulty)

If the diagnostic tests show a failed solenoid coil, remove the retaining nut/screws holding the solenoid to the valve body and slide the new solenoid into place. If the mechanical valve spool itself is sticking or internally damaged, the entire valve slice may need to be replaced.

  6. Reassemble and Test

Reconnect the electrical harness. Start the tractor, actuate the 6th hydraulic remote, and check for proper operation and leaks.

  7. Clear Codes

Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.60.11 fault code from the system.

Always verify the exact part number with an AGCO/Massey Ferguson parts catalog using the tractor's specific serial number, as valve stack configurations vary heavily by optional equipment.
