Massey Ferguson A.60.19 – Armrest Control Module, Dash/Instrument Panel, or Mid Mount Valve Module: External Hydraulic Valve 6 Issue
Issue description
Malfunction in the tractor's remote hydraulic spool valve system, indicating an electrical circuit problem (open circuit, short to ground, or short to power at the solenoid), a sensor signal issue (voltage out of range), or a mechanical blockage preventing the spool valve from returning to its neutral position.

Check the cause
Check the Valve LEDs on the electro-hydraulic valve (solid red means power, green means input to move, flashing indicates a localized fault)
Inspect the solenoid connector and wiring harness for rub points, open circuits, or poor ground integrity
Check the hydraulic fluid (UTTO) level and condition, as well as the hydraulic/transmission filter (contamination restricts flow)
Inspect the external linkage for mechanical binding to ensure the valves can physically return to the center/neutral position
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the tractor is off, the implement is lowered, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the system.
Access the Valve
Disconnect the electrical harness connected to Valve 6.
Remove the Cover
Remove the side cover/housing of the spool valve (often held by 4 screws) to access the internal O-rings and seals.
Inspect and Replace
Inspect the spool for scoring. If rebuilding, replace all O-rings and seals using an OEM repair kit. If the solenoid is burnt out, replace the solenoid coil.
Reinstallation
If the entire valve block was removed, refit the valve and replace the mounting O-rings. Tighten the mounting screws to the specified torque (e.g., 25-35 Nm for the 6100 series).
Clear Codes
Turn the key on and use the control unit dashboard or linkage calculator to clear the error code. To reactivate a valve that was locked out by the system, you must restart the engine after clearing the code.
