Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and the connector at External Hydraulic Valve 6 for corrosion, loose pins, or wire chafing

  2. Verify if the valve spool is mechanically stuck and unable to return to neutral

  3. Check the resistance of the solenoid coil on Valve 6 to ensure it hasn't shorted or opened

  4. Ensure the armrest joystick or fingertip paddle controlling Valve 6 in the cab is functioning correctly and not sticking

Repair steps

  1. Relieve Pressure

Turn off the tractor engine. Cycle the hydraulic control levers/joystick to relieve all residual hydraulic pressure in the system.

  2. Locate the Valve

Access the rear hydraulic valve stack (usually located above the rear axle) and identify the slice corresponding to External Valve 6.

  3. Clean and Inspect

Disconnect the electrical harness from the valve. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If the wiring is damaged, repair the harness.

  4. Service the Spool/Solenoid

If the electrical connection is sound, remove the solenoid and inspect the spool valve cartridge. Look for debris or scoring that could cause the spool to stick. Clean the bore carefully.

  5. Replace the Valve

If the valve is internally damaged, scored, or the solenoid is dead and cannot be serviced separately, unbolt the Valve 6 section from the hydraulic block and install a replacement valve slice.

  6. Reassemble and Clear Codes

Torque all hydraulic unions to the specifications outlined in the service manual. Reconnect the electrical harness.

  7. Test

Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the A.62.11 DTC. Start the tractor and test the operation of the 6th remote to ensure the fault does not return.
