   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to read the full code and FMI to determine if the issue is an open circuit, short circuit, or current error.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the rear remote valve stack (specifically Valve 6) for chafed wires, pinched cables, or corrosion inside the electrical connector.

   Test the resistance of the solenoid coil on Valve 6 using a multimeter and compare it against specifications to confirm if the coil is shorted or open.

   Check the hydraulic fluid level (UTTO) and inspect hydraulic filters, as contaminated fluid or clogged filters can cause the mechanical spool to stick.

   Depressurize the System

   Park the tractor on a level surface, lower all attached implements to the ground, turn off the engine, and cycle the hydraulic levers/controls to relieve all residual hydraulic pressure.

   Access the Valve Stack

   Locate the external hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor. Identify Valve 6 (usually the outermost or top/bottom valve depending on the stack orientation).

   Electrical Repair

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a wiring issue, clean the connector pins with contact cleaner. If the wire is broken, splice and heat-shrink the repair, or replace the affected harness pigtail.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the solenoid coil failed the multimeter test, remove the retaining nut on the end of the valve spool, slide the old coil off, and install the new OEM coil.

   Valve Overhaul (If Mechanically Stuck)

   If the electrical components are fine but the valve is physically jammed due to contamination, remove the valve section from the stack. Disassemble the valve chamber, clean the spool, and replace the internal O-rings and seals using a valve chamber repair kit.

   Reassembly and Testing

   Reinstall the valve, reconnect the electrical harness, and top off the hydraulic fluid. Use a diagnostic tool to clear the DTC, start the tractor, and test the remote valve with an implement to ensure proper operation and no leaks.
