   Retrieve and verify codes using a compatible diagnostic tool to confirm if the issue is isolated to Valve 6 or if multiple valves are throwing codes.

   Inspect the wiring harness, pins, and connectors going to External Hydraulic Valve 6 for corrosion, breaks, or loose connections.

   Consult the specific tractor's OEM service manual to interpret whether the fault is electrical (solenoid/wiring) or mechanical (stuck spool).

   Relieve Hydraulic Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is off and relieve pressure from the hydraulic system. Be prepared with a catch bucket, as removing hydraulic components can result in fluid loss.

   Disconnect Electrical Harness

   Unplug the electrical connector from the Valve 6 solenoid.

   Remove the Valve

   Unbolt the external hydraulic valve assembly from the hydraulic block/lift cover.

   Replace or Reseal

   Install the new external hydraulic valve or replace the faulty solenoid/gaskets (e.g., using a selector valve gasket).

   Reassemble and Test

   Bolt the new valve into place, reconnect the hydraulic hoses and electrical harness, top off the hydraulic fluid, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs.
