Issue description

Preparation
Shut off the engine, engage the brakes, and relieve all hydraulic pressure.
Disconnection
Disconnect the electrical connectors to the valve slice. Disconnect quick couplers, trailer tipping pipes, and any hydraulic hoses, collecting the fluid in a suitable receptacle.
Removal
Remove the bolts securing the valve or cap on the hydraulic lift cover/manifold. Carefully detach it, ensuring that the internal standpipe is not dislodged from its seat in the hydraulic pump.
Installation
Fit the standpipe into the inlet port of the new valve base plate. Fit the base plate to the lift cover, ensuring the standpipe is correctly located.
Sealing
If installing new hydraulic fittings, apply sealant only to tapered threads. Wrap Teflon tape clockwise only twice, keeping sealant away from the first two threads to prevent contamination of the hydraulic fluid. Do not use sealant on O-ring or flare adapter threads.
Programming
If replacing an electric spool slice on modern series tractors, the new unit must be programmed to the tractor's ECU.
